The Schloßböckelheimer Felsenberg is a very old and famous Nahe terroir. The vines here grow in extreme conditions in a south-facing position on volcanic and stony soil, producing characterful Rieslings with racy fruit and mineral acidity, which enjoy a great reputation for their distinctive flinty note. Dönnhoff’s Felsenberg GG 2023 is pure, brilliant with a deep, flinty nose, intense and iodised. Full-bodied yet refined and elegant on the palate, it is balanced and light, rich and dense with juicy fruit and crystalline acidity. The finish is rich, yet refined and saline, with delicate lemon bitters and lush fruit.
