Like the winemaker, this Riesling is charismatic and elegant. This dryGrand Crureveals rich aromas of yellow peach and citrus fruit, enhanced by a touch of spice. The terroir plays a very important role around the schist, which is expressed by a minerality and acidity that add length and depth. The Wehlener Sonnenuhr GG Alte Reben 2023 is clear and fresh, with a nose that is subtly flinty or smoky, slatey and lemony, rather discreet given the old age of most of the vines, but very deep on the other hand. Round, opulent and flavoursome on the palate, very complex and persistent in its structure and expression of terroir. The 2023 vintage is rich and mouth-watering, still tannic but also concentrated, from one of the most renowned sites in the Moselle.
