The Cazes estate is renowned for its high-quality natural sweet wines, including some older vintages! This Rivesaltes is made entirely from white Grenache vines that are over 50 years old and produce low yields. The wine was aged for seven years in old oak casks for moderate oxidation and was bottled in November 1992. On the nose, this sweet wine has a beautiful aromatic complexity, with notes of smoke, hazelnut and dried apricot. On the palate, subtle notes of liquorice and leather are added to a beautiful tannic structure and, above all, a freshness that is still very present for a wine that is several decades old! Serve at 12° to 15°C, pairing with semi-cooked foie gras, curry-based dishes, blue cheeses or dried fruit tarts.
