Sans Robert Mondavi Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon combines Californian winemaking with Southern Bourbon Whiskey maturation, creating a bold and unique wine. Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Sailing out of the glass are intense aromas of cassis, liquorice and black cherry liqueur which are trailed by prominent vanillin oak, coconut and spice notes. Rich and sweetly fruited, luscious cassis liqueur and liquorice flavours are overwhelmed by a strong toasty vanillin oak component on the back half with some caramel, coconut and cinnamon spice characters also evident. Very smooth tannins with a sweet vanillin oak laden finish.Drink over the next 1-2 years.Alc. 14.5%
