Sans This sparkling shiraz pours with a very frothy purple mauve coloured mousse that shows very good hold. Dark red base wine colour with exceptionally fine and very persistent bead. The nose is not quite as exuberant as the first two McLaren Vale Sparkling Shiraz tasted in the line up exhibiting more subtle aromas of blackberry, plum, spice and a touch of earth. Rich and full bodied the palate is filled with sweet ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit followed by some confectionary. Creamy like mouthfeel. Excellent length with long blackberry, liquorice and confectionary aftertaste.Drink over the next 3-4 years (2011-2015).Alc 12.5%
