In 2010, the Claude Nouveau estate was taken over by his son-in-law Stéphane Ponsard. With just over 17 hectares, the estate in Marcheseuil has ageing reputation for its Maranges and Santenay wines. The Clos Rousseau 1er cru is no exception, with a racy, elegant nose of black berries and kirsch, and a full-bodied, intense palate with well-developed tannins.
