A very fragrant Sassicaia with a nose of undergrowth, citrus and deep black fruit. Blackcurrant, cedar, black tea, a hint of balsamic and pine needles. Full, voluptuous and opulent, this vintage is long, structured and complete. The palate is energetic with a linear line of fresh tannins and acidity, showing a lovely blend of black fruit, oak spice, balanced freshness, rich texture and supple tannins. The immediate character of the wine is what sets this vintage apart, even if its potential for great ageing remains unavoidable.
