Siepi2022–Mazzei

This top-of-the-range Mazzei wine is a blend ofMerlotand Sangiovese. The Sangiovese is barrel-aged, while the Merlot is aged in 70% new oak for 18 months. The Siepi opens with fruity notes of cooked cherry, blackberry jam, cinnamon and nutmeg. This full-bodied wine is supple and very smooth on the palate, with an expansive, all-encompassing aromatic profile. Balanced and fluid, this is another great vintage.
