Invitingly warm, resinous and flirting with extremes, the decadent 2019 Staglin Cabernet is a brûléed, dark fruited marvel that thrills with its texture and layers. A mousse-like quality brings a breath of air and light to the dense, concentrated mouthfeel and softens the abundant underlying tannins that provide a pleasant grip to a powdery, fine-grained mineral driven exit that feels like the perfect hug from a distant relative.

Wine Spectator Review – Rated 93:A broad, loamy and frankly toasted style, with a steady rolling wave of warmed cassis and plum sauce supported by freshly plowed earth, sweet tobacco and licorice root. A little toothy through the finish, with a plum skin note hinting at overextraction, but the fruit wins out and fans of the muscular style will be pleased with this.
