Full bodied, Aromatic & Balanced South African Cab Sav

Tristone refers to the three types of sandstone soils that their Cabernet Sauvignon vines are grown. A very aromatic nose of cassis, blackberry and cedar notes is balanced by fine tannins, pencil lead with hints of spice . Full bodied delivering a long lingering finish on the palate.

• 18 months in French oak ( 30% new)

Cellaring: Drinking very well now but a great deal of potential for development – Drink now to 2030.

Food Pairing: Steak, burgers, lamb, mushroom risotto, smoked tofu.

STORY BEHIND THE WINE

Founded in 1692, Stellenzicht’s vineyards and winery is located on the slopes of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch. The current owners of this unique farm believe in protecting the natural resources through sustainable farming. These efforts help create an eco-system that protects the local fauna and flora as well as the dragonfly population ( hence the label!).
