After the tragic death of Senior Bertolino, the Tenuta Olim Bauda winery spent 15 years in obscurity. Lying dormant like a great volcano that thankfully erupted in 2000 when three siblings revived the estate. Today it has been re-established as one of Piemonte’s finest producers. ‘Nizza’ is a single-vineyard bottled only in exceptional vintages, and is the estate’s top cuvée. It’s absolutely majestic. Superbly polished and richly layered. Ripe cherry Bakewell characters, dried fig, chocolate and a great texture.
