Sans 2020 was a significant year for celebrity-affiliated releases and Teremana was one of the biggest of all. For the few who don’t know, it’s a new tequila brand backed by Dwayne “The Rockâ€?/em> Johnson. The launch featured both a Blanco and Reposado with the Anejo following suit.Compared to its siblings, this is more restrained aromatically, the palate drier, spicier and livelier than expected for an Anejo â€?but no bad thing. Hints of butter-menthol cough lozenges mix with peppery warmth while the finish contributes a light oiliness, ending crisp and dry with a moderate agave character. Not exactly typical, so for those used to sweet, soft styles, Teremana’s Reposado may be closer to the mark.Matured in x-whisky barrels. 40% Alc./Vol.
