The Desprat Saint Verny family has been flying the flag for Auvergne’s volcanic wines for five generations. Situated on the 45th parallel, the Desprat Saint Verny vineyard covers 180 hectares of vines on the Chaîne des Puys, a UNESCO World Heritage site.The Côtes d’Auvergne is an appellation that deserves greater visibility, with a terroir that has a rich and complex history. The name of this wine, “Terre et laveâ€?(earth and lava), is not insignificant, since it is inspired by its volcanic terroir. The wine’s aroma is a skilful blend of blackcurrant and grenadine, combined with the flinty notes characteristic of this exceptional terroir. The palate is well-balanced and velvety, with a lingering fresh finish that invites you to sit down for a meal!
