Normally seen as a ‘filler’ in France, Meunier in the cooler and wetter UK seems to thrive and to produce fascinating and complex fruit worthy of its own bottle. This release is made from 4 of our different Meunier cuvées of which 40% went through malolactic fermentation (to soften any acidity) and 52% had contact with some very gentle oak for texture. It spent just 26 months on lees and was disgorged in September ’23 (to allow time for tertiary development) with 7.5 grammes of residual sugar resulting in a magnificent and luxurious balance.
