Tomeu–2024–SASBrunoDuchêne

Tomeu 2024 from Domaine Bruno Duchêne is an organic sweet wine from Roussillon, in the Banyuls rimage appellation but labelled as a Vin de France.

Barely 100 litres produced by scraping together the Grenache (Noir, Gris and Blanc) and Carignan grapes that remained on the vine come autumn, and had almost dried to raisins. 50-year-old vines. A natural winemaker, Bruno has his work cut out for him with his steep terraced parcels. Composed mainly of schist soils, mechanised farming is impossible here, so Bruno can only use a horse for ploughing. Vinification: maceration, punching of the cap every drop of juice. Aging in barrels and bottled without added sulphur.
