The year 1970 saw the first modern vintage of this wine known as Gran Coronas, black label. Although the wine included small quantities of Tempranillo, its main variety was Cabernet Sauvignon.

In this small (29 hectares) vineyards only the most select Cabernet Sauvignon are grown. These are used to make strictly limited quantities of Torres�most prestigious red wine, now known to connoisseurs all over the world.
