STORY BEHIND THE WINE

The Txueka- Etxaniz family were instrumental in establishing Getariako Txakolina as a recognised appellation in 1989 and continue to be committed to conserving the Hondarrabi grape variety. The vineyards are located in Getaria , on a stunning hillside dropping down to the sea . The cool breezes of the Atlantic help the grapes retain a fresh and lively acidity which is typical of Txakoli wines.
