This wine is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon vines which have a unique ability to transmit their origin at the purest level because they are ungrafted. De Martino carefully tend these ungrafted vines using sustainable farming methods and strive to produce wines with the maximum expression of this special Maipo terrior. With its mild Mediterranean climate and gravel rich soils, it’s no wonder this region is world-renowned for its Cabernets. With bold aromatics of cassis, clove, tobacco leaf and graphite which follow onto the tongue, the Ungrafted is certainly up there with the best. There is purity, length and beautifully poised structure to this wine, all thanks to these very special vines at the Isla de Maipo vineyard and the signature De Martino winemaking prowess.
