Vega Sicilia’s Pintia â€?sourced from the banks of the Duero River within the DO Toro â€?is a gorgeous, bold, and full-bodied Tempranillo from one of Spain’s greatest producers. 2019 was a hot, very dry year in Toro and this is reflected in a ripe, high-alcohol Pintia which nevertheless retains its outstanding overall sense of balance.

But ideal harvest timing and maceration management allowed him to deliver a balanced wine, with superbly integrated alcohol. Intense, expressive aromas of dark chocolate, dried black olive, prune and liquorice root mingle with Assam tea (for an elegant smoky allure) and crunchy blueberries.
