This might not be a famous combination of grape varieties, like Shiraz Cabernet or Cabernet Merlot, but it is one we think has a bright future ahead of it, especially out in the Western Cape. Working with Winemaker Ryno Booysen we settled on a split of 70% Shiraz and 30% Malbec, where each variety works together in perfect harmony and results in a black-fruit filled, spicy red with a full body and notes of blueberry and damson.
