Vilmart et Cie Grand Cellier d’Or 2016 Vintage Champagne is a mature, complex and incredibly expressive wine, making this a truly impressive Champagne with a vast amount to experience on both the nose and palate. Consisting of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, this wine holds sharp acidity and mineral notes with fine, yet persistent bubbles. Buttery, custard flavours lead into a very long finish with a lovely conclusion of grapefruit and praline.

Vilmart & Cie are one of the Artisan du Champagne, which is a small group of growers that farm organically and biodynamically and have a conscientious approach to making champagnes that emphasise where they are grown. The grapes are grown organically using natural composting techniques and specialist herbal sprays.
