Luis Pato produces wines from unique vineyards on limestone, clay and sandy soils. Luis Pato’s wines are remarkable and age magnificently. The Vinha Velhas cuvée is a blend from old Baga de la Bairrada vines. On the nose, this wine reveals bewitching aromas of subtle red fruits such as Morello cherry, dried herbs, bark, pencil lead and black tea. The palate is remarkably lively and fresh thanks to its fine acidity, underpinned by supple, slightly dry tannins. The finish is clean and pleasant. This is a well-balanced wine, still young, which promises to evolve beautifully.
