The very small, volcanic wine region of Gradoli that centres around the beautiful lake Bolsena in middle Italy is fast gaining a reputation for producing the country’s most exciting wines. The lovely Joy Kull, an American ex-pat, settled there after a winemaking tour in some of the region renowned wineries and falling in love with the region. 100% Procanico of which 70% were crushed by foot and pressed directly, and 30% macerated on the skins for a week in Resin tanks. The purity is explosive and the sip will set your heart racing; delightfully dry with notes of exotic fruit and yellow citrus peel. It’s simple and fun but you’ll remember this bottle for a long time after finishing it. Tightly allocated, we recommend buying early.
