Vivaltus2020–Vivaltus

The research and excellence carried out by the Vivaltus estate – gravity-fed transport of grapes from the vineyard to the cellar, individual vinification of each plot, minimal extraction – the quality of the old vines with low yields and the perfectly mastered blend ofTempranillo , mixed with a touch ofMerlot(3%, slightly more than in the previous vintage), make Vivaltus 2020 an elegant, powerful and timeless wine. The varietal aromas of blackcurrant, plum and black cherry blend naturally with the very fine tannins. The finish is long, mineral and persistent, with a slightly chalky note. A great wine (and a great vintage!), which draws the best from new technologies and its ancestral terroir, bringing critics to agree: “A revisited Ribera del Duero, with great finesse and natural elegance. Remarkably restrained,” according to James Suckling. A wine that is “both deep and smooth, structured and elegant (…) with a bright future ahead of it,” according to Robert Parker.
