Volnay2017–MaisonPatriarche

A very old Burgundy house since 1780, Patriarche has the largest cellars in Burgundy. Volnay is perched on the Côte de Beaune, where the vines grow on limestone soil. The vintage produced wines with lovely volume and power, and this Volnay is no exception, with its ruby-red colour and very wild, animal aromas and notes of forest fruits, it reveals itself on the palate with finesse and precision. It’s a lovely bottle to discover, and very good value for money!
