The 40-year-old Chenins of this vintage blossom on a clay-siliceous terroir. To preserve the powerful acidity of the wines, the vinification is carried out without malolactic fermentation and ageing, and with the same objective, is kept for a short period of between six to eight months in renewed 300-litre barrels up to a maximum of 5% new wood to avoid excessively marking the wines. The crystalline colour reveals a mineral nose of flint. Citrus fruits are expressed on the second nose with very exciting vegetal notes. A lively attack begins in the mouth and spreads vertically over a perfect body. A bottle to enjoy right now that will still age for 30 years in the cellar. Decant for 1 hour and serve at 10 degrees, and let it warm up in the glass to appreciate all its aromatic complexity. Introduce your senses to this loveliness!
