Vrede Pinot Noir 2017 by Hannes Storm of Storm Wines is an organic red wine produced in South Africa, in the renowned region of Hemel-en-Aarde.

100% Pinot Noir, from vines planted on Bokkeveld soils (poor soils, rich in clay and stones) and farmed using sustainable agriculture in the Hemel-en-Aarde region. The Vrede parcel faces north. The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, and cold macerated 10 days in open vats, followed by fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and 11 months of maturation in French oak barrels with 28% new oak. Neither filtered nor fined, with sensible use of sulphites.
