Sans This beautiful maritime single malt was first matured in ex-Tawny casks, then finished in casks made from a very special, rare 80 year old rum vat, coopered on the old slipway right outside the distillery. A high ABV of 51.7% helps to retain the big, rich oils. The Head Distiller comments, “You get some of those really big, beautiful vanillas from the rum and a lot of the tropical fruit. A little bit of coconut from the rum as well. The palate is all about that big, biscuity malt with that plump sultana finish. It’s just delicious.â€?608 bottles make up the entire release.
