This is a wonderful example of Pinot Noir from Germany. A wine of true elegance and style, this Spatburgunder offers everything a Burgundy does at a fraction of the price. The nose is very typical for a Pinot Noir, with lots of berries, cassis, and violets. With time it develops a hint of spices like liquorice, mint, and a cola-like character. Bright and round on the palate, silky tannins lead to a finish of wonderful length. Superb value for money.
