Created in 2002 by David Stewart, former cellar master at Glenfiddich.Glenfiddich Grand Reserva 21 Years Old is a blend of ex-Bourbon casks (90%) and ex-Sherry casks (10%), which are then matured for four months in American white oak casks that previously held Caribbean rum for six months. The rum used for ageing the casks is a blend kept secret by our master blender. This process gives the whisky sweet notes of sugar cane and pepper.
