Thanks to its incredible cask heritage, Glenfiddich is one of the few distilleries able to bottle a vintage of over 40 years. The first edition of Glenfiddich 40 Years Old was created in the 2000s, from a blend of several casks. For this latest version, a specific production method was used, consisting of blending several casks to create a unique marriage called “vatting”. Each new marriage of this type is blended with the previous vintage in order to create exceptional vintages with unique flavours.
