Using perfectly ripe, hand-picked grapes sourced from carefully selected plots, working with winemaker JD Rossouw, we’ve produced a wine that is packed with character and energy. There’s lovely, sweet blackcurrant fruit that coats the palate with a captivating juiciness and mingles with light spices before finishing with a perfect balance of silky tannins and crunchy, moreish freshness.

Crafted from handpicked grapes sourced from a very special unirrigated bush-vine Carignan vineyard planted in 1979.

These old vines, and 5 months in 600 litre French oak barrels, give this wine complexity and structure alongside the light and soft fruit.

This is a rare chance to savour the wonders of a Cape Carignan that works magnificently when paired with hearty fare.
