Juicy and Zesty Organic Pinot Grigio

It is plump and juicy, zesty with tangy favours of Meyer lemon, honeycrisp apple, pickled ginger and white stone. A delicious Pinot Grigio, a little more rich and full than the same wines produced in the North Italy.

Food Pairing: Shrimp, crab, lobster or mussels.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE

Jason Baffa, Chris Del Moro and Piergiorgio Castellani have collaborated to establish this winery, which they farm organically. They met while film-maker Baffa was travelling in Italy filming “Bella Vita”. They are inspired by surfing, organic food, family and wine! A true Italian/Californian collaboration.

The Pinot Grigio grapes were harvested around the middle of August in the hilly vineyards surrounding the Mediterranean sea, located on the sunny island of Sicily on beautiful soil with a mix of limestone and white chalk. The grapes are then fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks for a long period to preserve the complexity of the aromas.
