Unicum has since become one of the most popular drinks in Hungary, representing quality and Hungarian tradition for over 200 years. Although Unicum’s full recipe is kept secret, it is known to be made of a mixture of over 40 different medicinal herbs and spices. Its unique bittersweet taste and harmony is achieved by a 6-month period of aging in oak casks. Unicum may be drunk as both an aperitif or digestif.
